New Dawn Behind the Badge

A dedicated program for those who serve.

Behind the Badge is New Dawn’s dedicated program for law enforcement and first responders, bringing together agency education and confidential wellness care for the professionals who serve our communities.

Part one · Public-safety agencies

Education & training

Practical education developed for law-enforcement, fire, EMS and emergency-communications teams to strengthen mental-health crisis recognition, verbal de-escalation and trauma-informed response.

  • Recognizing psychiatric distress, trauma, autism and substance-related crises
  • Responding with practical strategies that support safety and dignity
  • Improving referral awareness and community connection after a crisis

Part two · First responders

Wellness care

Confidential, culturally responsive behavioral-health care for law-enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS professionals, paramedics and dispatchers—built around the realities of the work.

  • Stress, burnout and sleep concerns
  • Trauma exposure, anxiety and depression
  • Substance-use concerns and recovery support

Two pathways, one mission. Public-safety agencies can discuss customized education, while individual law-enforcement and first-response professionals can inquire about private wellness care.
